Why We Forked
AI Hub for Android was originally created by SilentCoderHere — a solid foundation that we forked to add the features below. All credit for the core app goes to the upstream author.
Encrypted PIN Storage
Parental PIN is hashed with SHA-256 and encrypted with AES-256-GCM via Android Keystore. Never stored in plaintext.
Biometric Unlock
Fingerprint and face unlock via Android BiometricPrompt. Requires STRONG or DEVICE_CREDENTIAL class.
Timer Notifications
System notifications at 5 minutes remaining and at expiry. Works even when the app is backgrounded.
Domain Whitelist Enforcement
Per-service domain rules enforced at the WebView layer. No cross-service data leaks, trackers blocked outright.
Privacy-First Service List
Curated AI service list with privacy-respecting defaults. Lumo (Proton) and Khanmigo included by default.
